Who we are

Cornerstone Short Film Festival is a community-centered celebration of independent storytelling, created to spotlight voices that are often overlooked by mainstream cinema. We champion short films that are bold, honest, and human, projects that move audiences, spark conversation, and reflect the diversity of our Colorado Springs community and beyond.

This festival began as the idea of the Colorado Springs El Paso #13 Freemasons, envisioned as a way to bring neighbors together in a shared space, build connection through art, and serve the broader community in a creative, welcoming spirit.

We are filmmakers, film lovers, and neighbors who believe that stories can build bridges. Our team curates a lineup of shorts that range from deeply personal to wildly imaginative, and we pair them with opportunities for real connection—Q&As, informal conversations, and a welcoming space where everyone feels invited.

Whether you’re a first-time filmmaker, a seasoned creative, or simply someone who loves a good story on the big screen, Cornerstone Short Film Festival is your place to gather, be inspired, and leave a little more connected than when you arrived.
